Tom’s original background began in the IT support sector, providing help and support to local schools and learning centres in Hull. After nearly 10 years of service, Tom decided on a career change and went to start work at his family’s grounds maintenance and landscaping business, where he spent 5 years working as an operative and then becoming a supervisor on a grounds maintenance contract.
When Barbara B Hull Ltd won the Humber NHS tender in November 2019, Tom transferred across from the previous contractor via the TUPE process, along with his colleague Anthony. Since then, Tom and Anthony have collaborated with their new employers based in Italy, to establish the new UK base for Barbara B Hull Ltd and continue to provide quality ground care services.
